Real Hero/Villain Reflection

John Wheeler's blog --> John's Blog

MOVEMENTS
John's animation was simple and his character, Fulton, who seems to be a version of the grim reaper is a slow moving and simple moving one. The PARALLEL MOVEMENTS that Fulton has is when he flexes his muscles. the only OVERLAPPING MOVEMENTS were when he tossed his sythe to the robot. The character did not show WEIGHT. This video did show some TENSION and RELEASE, The entire animation the audience is waiting for something to happen when Fulton is just standing there, and then finally after flexing his muscles, he snaps his fingers and a robot comes in, For a couple seconds one wonders is fulton will fight the robot, or just what might happend, until the tension is released and he tosses the sythe to the robot letting the audience know that they are both on the same team.

COLOR
Pete did a good job of using colors in order to show character. He used light HUES for Mr. Doctor, the Protagonist, and darker redder Hues for the Antagonist. Unfortunately the characters didnt change in BRIGHTNESS or SATURATION, it was mainly one tone per characther and each color used in the piece had the same BRIGHTNESS and the same SATURATION. As for TEXT and SUBTEXT the person in the audience needs to know who Charles Manson is in order for the animation to make sense and be funny.
