Blog 7 Video reflection

The video assignment was my favorite assignment of the quarter. Writing out a Screenplay and then having it come to life on screen was a fun and cool experience.  Im currently working on another screenplay for a music video that i cant wait to put on film. Whats really cool about this class is that it made me feel less scared about putting media out there, whatever it is.

Moving on,
Our two videos were completely different from storyline and style. The first was the Star wars video which was really fun for me because i stared in it and wrote the screenplay. Second was the bicycle accident video. The biggest difference between the two videos for me was the Rhythm of each movie. The star wars video had a rhythm of a storyline and there were different things happening that the main character did as opposed to the bicycle video where the rhythm was smooth throughout until the accident happened. it had a simpler rhythm than the star wars video. Closely related to the rhythm of each movie is the movement. what was comparative of each movie was that each accident happened pretty abruptly. Each movie also showed text and subtext. For example when the bottles were given to the main characters in the text it showed and seemed like the girl was just being polite by giving the man the bottle first, however subtextually had a plan and tried to screw the guy over in the end. I consider this subtext because she said one thing but really meant it in a way that was not apparent to the audience, and then it twists
